Tenby in Black and White

A personal project shot over one week in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, on a single roll of Ilford XP2 Super film. The aim was to select twenty frames, forming a montage of the town. Its medieval castle, St Mary’s Island fort, churches and ancient walls, alongside the harbour, moored boats and sandy beaches.

Tenby provides good subjects for B&W photography because its coastline, harbour, boats and fort all have strong shapes, contrasting tones and naturally textured surfaces.

These are the twenty images that made the cut from that single roll of film.
