I had the privilege of volunteering as a photographer at Billy Wears The Crown, a four‑day community celebration at The Old Crown pub in Great Bookham. The event was held from 28–31 August, it brought together people and families to support Billy’s Battalion, a charity created in memory of Billy, who tragically passed away at just four from DIPG, a rare childhood brain cancer.

On Friday evening, I photographed the opening speech, music performance, plus the silent auction. Sunday was the main day with family‑focused activities, including face painting, superheroes, fairground games, kids’ entertainment and a DJ. These are some of the photographs I took to document the event.
